才能覚醒！Strength Finder2.0をやってみた！
小飼弾氏や勝間和代氏も絶賛していた、あの『さあ、才能(じぶん)に目覚めよう―あなたの5つの強みを見出し、活かす
（なぜか「はまぞう」が使えなかったので、こちらで代用っス）
ご存知でない方のために説明すると、Strength Finderとは、オンライン上で簡単なテストを受けることで、あなたの隠れた強み5つを指摘してくれ、そしてその強みから、どう行動すべきか等の指針を指し示してくれるスペシャル便利ツールなのだ。
例によって本自体は英語だが、オンラインテストは日本語で受けることも可能。私は手違いで英語で受けてしまったが、それほど難しい英語ではなく、安心。本に使われている英語の難易度も高くないので、『さあ、自分に〜』でStrength Finderにハマってしまった人にもお勧めできる。
で、私の強みはというと、以下の通りである。括弧内に『さあ、自分に〜』における和訳を入れておいた。
Competition
Competition is rooted in comparison. When you look at the world, you are instinctively aware of other people’s performance. Their performance is the ultimate yardstick. No matter how hard you tried, no matter how worthy your intentions, if you reached your goal but did not outperform your peers, the achievement feels hollow.（以下略）
要するに、負けず嫌い（競争性）、ということ。
Intellection
You like to think. You like mental activity. You like exercising the “muscles” of your brain, stretching them in multiple directions. This need for mental activity may be focused; for example, you may be trying to solve a problem or develop an idea or understand another person’s feelings. 要するに、知的（内省）、ということ。

要するに、コレクター（収集心）、ということ。

要するに、勉強家（学習欲）、ということ。

要するに、石橋を叩いて渡る（慎重さ）、ということ。
Competition以外スーパーネクラな性格が集まってしまったが、まあこんなもんだ。
これにAction-Planning Guideという、今後の指針を指し示してくれるアイテムまでついてくるのだから、『さあ、自分に〜』を買った人も、買う価値は充分ある。小飼氏も、自分の強みを活かしてきたから成功できた旨言ってるしね。
